The leaves are falling and Winter is fast approaching. It’s a time when The Old School Inn gets that cosy and warm feeling with open fires mixed with laughter, starting to emulate that festive feeling.
The change in season brings new menus with integration of new seasonal produce and dishes that really deliver for this time of year (see our new menus).
With the all day cosy glow of a fire it’s the pub classics that are in demand; home-made super fresh and robust pies plus winter warmers with an edge - that all stand up to the rest of the dishes and can be easily enjoyed as a quick meal out early doors on a week night - or as part of more relaxed dining experience in the restaurant at the weekends.
In reality, with Christmas and New Year not so long away and we are hard at work planning opening times, Christmas menus and New Year plans. With the success of last year’s New Year celebrations we are busy organising the same events; three distinct atmospheres; live music and dancing in the bar, live TV countdown, shots and merriment in the sports bar (with the infamous 'ski', of course) and a very classy and a celebratory multiple course menu in the restaurant with some added entertainment – all to be announced imminently via our website.
