The 1st live set for a Sunday eve

Tom Kimmel is one of those unique singer-songwriters whose heartfelt artistry with words and music is both genre-crossing and timeless. Since 1980, when his songs were recorded by Roger McGuinn & Chris Hillman (of Byrds fame) and Levon Helm (of The Band), dozens of his compositions have been covered by a host of major artists including Linda Ronstadt, Johnny Cash, Joe Cocker, Shawn Colvin, Waylon Jennings, the Stray Cats, Randy Travis and the Spinners.

The Old School Inn have inherited the opportunity of hosting what we hope to be one of many Sunday night live acoustic sets in the new space.

American singer and song writer Tom Kimmel will join us from 6pm on Sunday 20th July. Tom will be one of the head line acts at the Team Verrico charity launch ball being held the previous evening at the Baths Hall, Scunthorpe.

Tom will be taking time out from his tour of Ireland, after flying in from the states, for this special weekend. Tickets for the ball event can be bought via the Team Verrico website and ticket sales close on Monday 7th July! So be quick.

Tickets for the Sunday acoustic event will be available to purchase from the Old School Inn only from Saturday 5th July for £7.50 each, where we have a sitting and standing capacity of approximately 60.

Tickets can also be purchased via phone, where our staff will fill in application details and happily post tickets to customers.

We are really excited, not only to be once again supporting Team Verrico, but to see the new space used to this advantage. Perfect for a Sunday night wind down.
