Our Head Chef Daniel Sung and the team have been hard at work since he joined us August 2013 - setting standards and developing menus that meet the needs of our customer base, with the mix of Pub Classics and robust country style dishes that set us apart from ‘chainy’ gastro pubs and predictable menus. Our menus are set to change again mid – February, developing seasonal freshly prepared dishes, with wherever possible locally sourced ingredients that always offer affordability and easiness.
Daniels’ background is very diverse, being half Indian and half Chinese his unique heritage is matched with his forte for fusion dishes of which we always champion an element of in the menu, particularly with his stone bass and sea bass dishes. Daniel has worked the world over, with experience gained in five star hotels in Dubai, India, Hong Kong and Malta with the last ten years as Head Chef of two Rosette standard pubs in Derbyshire and Executive Chef of Hellaby Hall Hotel, Nottinghamshire.
The 31st of January will see in the Chinese New Year and to celebrate this plus Daniels' key strengths and talented palette we will be holding a special Chinese and fusion menu for the evenings of Friday 31st January and Saturday 1st February.
